Haven‘t shot the Tikka yet, but gotta say that the varmint barrel on the CZ makes the Tikka barrel look skinny. Going to change the CZ grip to a vertical grip.Or be a nutball like me and have them all. I have six 10/22 or “10/22 pattern” semi-autos, one good bolt action 22LR (posted above), one bolt action 17HMR (Ruger American), and one bolt 22WMR (Ruger Precision). Fun fact, Ruger 17HMR and 22MAG use the same magazine. And while 17HMR and 22MAG more expensive, both still significantly cheaper ...Works great to add balance to my Bergara b14r. ... I bought the 457 Varmint. The lightweight synthetic stock made the T1x feel less than a Tikka to me. I love Tikka centerfire rifles but was underwhelmed by the T1x. The 457 Varmint looks and feels like a high quality rifle. Either will be an amazing shooter, but for feel, looks, and pride of ownership it was CZ for me.Honestly, they're all great options. The Tikka takes weird Tikka mags and switching to an aftermarket barrel would be harder if upgrade path matters. The Ruger has a weird trigger blade and I know the long range version is basically backorder only right now. The CZ 457s are great, but get pricey.I have tested Bergara as well, and i have also CZ 457 Long Range Precision. But i must say that i like Bergara more than CZ. Stock is better. Trigger is better. It is more accurate than CZ. And more like a real rifle than rimfire, if that is what you are looking for.
